400th Anniversary of "To be or not to be" but really, what is the question?
If you think 2016 is just another year, think again. Zap, pow, Batman turns 50. “Yeah, yeah, yeah”, so does the Beatles’ final concert performance. “Yo, Adrian”, Rocky is 40. And believe it or not, it’s the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. Speaking of the Bard, as a healer of all parchment, I’m reminded that Sir Nathaniel in “Love’s Labour’s Lost” was heard to say “…hath not eat paper, as it were…”
If you’re a traditional office worker, the apparent demise of paper seems a bitter pill to swallow. With each passing day, it seems to be going the way of Shakespeare lovers. The digital age is here. Many businesses have made the move to a “paper light”, if not “paperless”, environment, replacing paper-based business processes with digital workflow. They’ve recruited information management services companies to provide expert recommendations about suitable scanning, hosting and other digital document management solutions. However, for those companies who prefer Twelfth Night over Dark Knight, they rely on those same information management services companies to provide cost-efficient, physical records storage and secure, confidential shredding services.
To be or not to be paperless. I guess that is the question.
